David Walliams lost his contract with book publisher.
Prolific writer for children and comedian David Walliams has parted ways with his longtime publishing house, as confirmed by the firm.
A spokesman for the company stated: "After careful consideration, and under the leadership of its new CEO, HarperCollins UK has chosen to cease publishing any new titles by David Walliams."
Reports indicate that the conclusion was taken subsequent to an inquiry regarding allegations of questionable actions involving female individuals.
The company has not elaborated on the specific rationale behind the move, noting: "It is not our policy to discuss confidential company decisions."

The debut children's novel from Walliams, *The Boy in the Dress*, was released through HarperCollins back in 2008.
Several of his books, including *Gangsta Granny* and *Billionaire Boy*, have subsequently been turned into TV movies.
He has published in excess of 40 works altogether, encompassing a festive story called *Santa & Son*, which came out under HarperCollins last autumn.
A Dual Career

He was made an OBE several years ago honoring his contributions to charity and the arts.
The publisher's decision comes after the selection of Kate Elton as HarperCollins UK's new chief executive this past October.
